Congress, TDP MPs trade charges at Naidu's session-eve meet

Noisy scenes were witnessed at the customary Parliament session eve meeting between MPs from Andhra Pradesh and Chief Minister N Chandra Babu Naidu in Hyderabad today.

After a verbal duel with ruling Telugu Desam Party members, a section of the Congress MPs trooped out of Jubilee Hall in a huff, charging that they were not allowed to put forth their views.

When a Congress MP raised the issue of attacks on his party workers allegedly by TDP activists, it was objected to by his TDP counterparts, and this led heated exchanges between the two sides.

Naidu, who convened the meeting mainly to urge the MPs to take up the state's pending projects, was seen persuading the agitated MPs to calm down.

A 66-page printed book containing the state's issues and projects pending before the Centre, was circulated to the MPs.
