Teenager stabbed to death by school-mates in Nagpur

A young teenybopper, Ajay Dubey, was stabbed to death following an altercation over a trivial issue by four school-mates in Nagpur yesterday.

The police said Ajay, a ninth standard student, was beaten and stabbed to death by four tenth standard students in front of the Dinanath high school in Dhantoli area following an altercation over some petty matter.

The four accused -- Ambadas Somkuwar , Satyanarayan Gupta, Deepak Padole and Mangesh Doke -- have been arrested on charges of murdering their school-mate, the police said.

It was alleged that Satyanarayan bore a grudge against the deceased boy ever since he sustained an injury while taking out his cycle from the cycle stand .

This was the second murder by teenagers within a period of six months in the city. Earlier, a group of junior college students were arrested for their involvement in the murder of a college lecturer at the latter's telephone booth, as he objected to the way the telephone was being used by the accused.
