4 ISI agents held in Assam

E-Mail this report to a friend

Four agents of the Inter-Services Intelligence of Pakistan have been arrested in Assam.

Official sources said two of them were Pakistani nationals, of whom one was a recruiting agent. The other two were Indian nationals, one hailing from the terrorist-infested Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir and the other from Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh.

The sources said the agents had revealed the contours of a plan to set off a series of bomb explosions in the North-East as well as other parts of the country as the general election draws nearer.
