Resident doctors' strike called off

The fortnight long strike by the over 5000 resident doctors of Maharashtra was called-off tonight after ''successful'' negotiations between the state administration and the Maharashtra Association of Resident Doctors.

The MARD doctors were on strike pressing for a hike in wages on par with those doctors working under the central government institutions.
