DF govt will last its term: Bhujbal

E-Mail this report to a friend

The Democratic Front government in Maharashtra will last its full term, Deputy Chief Minister Chhagan Bhujbal said today.

''There is absolutely no threat to the government and there are no differences between DF constituents over the foreign origins of Congress president Sonia Gandhi,'' Bhujbal told reporters at a 'meet-the-press' programme organised by the Press Club of Bombay.

''People were speculating on our fall even before we came to power,'' he remarked in a lighter vein. ''Several deadlines were given to us by the opposition,'' he added.

Bhujbal denied that the Peasents and Workers Party was upset over the appointment of guardian ministers. ''A committee of two members each from the Congress and the NCP has finalised the names of guardian ministers and there is no confusion,'' he said.
