E-Mail this report to a friend

The police have recovered two country-made bombs near the residence of Bharatiya Janata Party member of Parliament and Bajrang Dal leader Vinay Katiyar in Ayodhya.

According to Senior Superintendent of Police C V Rai, the two bombs, weighing around 800 kg, had been defused.

The explosive capacity of the bombs was yet to be ascertained, he added.

District Magistrate Navneet Sehgal along with other senior officials also reached the spot.

Katiyar said he had got an anonymous threat letter from Bahraich.

Katiyar has to appear in the court there (Bahraich) on December 30 in a case for allegedly making some controversial comments on the Koran.
