Debt ridden farmer loses his moustache

There was a time when one used to swear by one's turban or moustache, but since when did the thin line of hair become a debt of honour?

Bharatiya Janata Party legislator Narendera Birthare and former member of legislative assembly Omprakash Khatik have submitted a memorandum to the Kolaras magistrate in connection with the alleged shaving of a farmer's moustache by a tehsildar after the former failed to clear his bank dues.

The farmer, Dulhaji, a resident of Heerapur in Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh, has gone missing.
