'Solve Kashmir' to 'end' Kargil: ShariefPakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharief has asked India to recognise that the Kargil conflict was ''part of the Kashmir dispute and that it should be addressed in its totality''. Warning that ''the situation might worsen if this was not done'', he said New Delhi was ''neither willing to solve the dispute bilaterally nor was ready to accept mediation'', according to the Dawn of Pakistan. Asked if the conflict would cause a full-scale war, he said at the weekend, "That's why I say that India is also under obligation to de-escalate tensions." He said that Pakistan was willing to ''look even at proposals falling outside its stated positions'' to solve the Kashmir dispute. However, India should show flexibility in its stand.'' He said the 'freedom fighters' in Kargil would not end their struggle 'on his instructions'.
