Days get hotter in Assam, Meghalaya

Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Saurashtra and in parts of east Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka.

They were above normal in the Bihar plateau and in parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema.

They were appreciably below normal in Haryana, north Rajasthan and Kutch, and were below normal in south Rajasthan and Gujarat region.

They were normal over the rest of the country outside Arunachal Pradesh from where the data were sparse.

Night temperatures were markedly to appreciably below normal in Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, northwest Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, north central Maharashtra and in parts of east Uttar Pradesh and Vidarbha, and were below normal in Konkan.

They were appreciably above normal in north coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema, and were above normal in parts of south central Maharashtra, Telangana, south interior Karnataka and Kerala.

They were normal over the rest of the country outside Arunachal Pradesh from where the data were sparse.

Very light rain occurred at isolated places in south interior Karnataka.

Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in the hills of west Uttar Pradesh.

Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Arunchal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, West Bengal, Sikkim, coastal Orissa, Bihar plateau, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country.
