3 Haryana ministers 'missing'

E-Mail this report to a friend

Eight dissident Haryana Vikas Party legislators, including three ministers, have expressed grave concern over the alleged 'disappearance' of three ministers and a legislator belonging to a particular community. They demanded a probe by a central agency.

In a joint statement, the ruling party members alleged that the three ministers and the legislator were missing for the past one week. Even their families and personal staff are not aware of their whereabouts. ''This is causing anxiety to the family members,'' they added.

They said the 'missing' ministers -- Jagdish Nayar, Ram Sarup Rama and Kanta Devi and Small Scale Industries and Export Corporation chairman Ram Bhaj - were dalits.

The dissident leaders who issued the statement were Agriculture Minister Jagan Nath, ministers of state Azad Mohammed and Raj Kumar Saini and former ministers Brij Mohan Singla, Rao Narbir Singh, Dr Dharamvir Yadav, Krishna Gehlawat and Jaswant Singh Bawal.

They charged the state government with taking the matter 'very lightly'.
