Six die in Bangalore fire

Six people were burnt alive when a fire broke out in a complex under construction at Channapatna in Bangalore rural district early today.

Police said the victims were sleeping in a room where highly inflammable articles like turpentine and paints were stored. A candle which was lighted in the room accidentally fell on the inflammable items and the fire broke out.

The fire had been put out and five of the bodies were identified.
