ED gets two days to grill KalraOnkar Singh in New Delhi Metropolitan Magistrate Praveen Kumar today gave the Directorate of Enforcement two days to interrogate Rajesh Kalra, an accused in the match-fixing scandal. Kalra will now be produced before the court on April 15. The court, however, declined the Crime Branch's request for Kalra's custody and remanded him to judicial custody till April 27. In his order, the judge said, keeping the circumstances and facts of the case in mind "I am inclined to give two days' remand to the ED for the interrogation of the accused for FERA violations." The judge, however, allowed Kalra to have his advocate present during the interrogation. Right through the hearing Kalra looked relaxed and kept smiling and chatting with his friends. |
