E-Mail this report to a friend

Officials of the DCB, Crime Investigation Department unit-X arrested a suspended employee of Air-India and seized stolen valuable spare-parts of a Boeing-747 aircraft belonging to Air-India, from his residence in Andheri, north-west Bombay, on Wednesday.

Acting on a tip off, the officials raided the residence of Amington John Taksera (44) and recovered a mode S transponder, controller, tape-reproducer, AVM amplifier and data recorder, used for communication between aircraft and the air traffic control.

Takesra has been arrested and further investigations are on to trace the involvement of any employee.
