Bail of 3 accused in Gulshan murder cancelled

E-Mail this report to a friend

A sessions court in Bombay Thursday cancelled the bail of three gangsters, charged with the murder of cassette king Gulshan Kumar in 1998, on the ground that they abused their bail.

Additional Sessions Judge H S Deshpande cancelled the bail of Imtiaz Dawood Merchant, Adil Khan and Pratap Singh Sukhbir Singh after the prosecution charged them with the killing of Shiv Sena corporator from Mumbra, Zaiuddin Chougale, on February 25 this year.

Special Public Prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam told the court that the accused were arrested on March 25 in connection with Chougale's murder while on bail in Gulshan Kumar murder case.

For a considerable period of time before the arrest, the trio was untraceable and had not reported to the concerned police stations as required under the bail conditions.

The three men were granted bail in 1998.
