Al-Badar vows to step up attacks in valleyA day after Hizbul Mujahideen leader Abdul Majid Dar spoke of resumption of talks with India, pro-Pakistani militant group Al-Badar Wednesday threatened it would step up attacks on Indian security forces in Jammu and Kashmir saying dialogue was no solution to the Kashmir issue. Commanders of Al-Badar, which had claimed responsibility for the killing of two senior Indian army officers in Udhampur district on Monday, while addressing a news conference in Rawalpindi asked militant outfits in the valley to show unity at this juncture. Al-Badar commanders Naseer-ur-Din, Jaseem Azhar, Umair Khan and Mushtaq Ahmad said Hizbul Mujahideen's unilateral cease-fire was a "serious setback" for the Kashmiri struggle. However, the Hizb leadership took a "wise" decision to withdraw the truce, they added. PTI |
