E-Mail this report to a friend

Seven picnickers, including three women and as many children, drowned when their motor boat overturned in Berchha reservoir, six kms from Mhow in Indore district of Madhya Pradesh, on Sunday evening.

Police said three bodies were fished out while a search for the others was in progress.

Those killed were among 12 members of two Bohra families from Mhow on a picnic. A sudden gale overturned their boat.

The bodies of Yasmeen (30) and Jainab (3) were fished out on Sunday night itself. Sayda (20) breathed her last in a hospital.

Divers were trying to bring out the bodies of Tasleem (35), Shakeena (5), Abbe Ali (12) and boat driver Hardayal Singh.
