Another Pune businessman kidnapped

Close on the heels of leading industrialist Harish Garware's kidnapping earlier this month, yet another businessman Niranjan Natwarlal Lisaria, a resident of Nigdi near Pune, was abducted last Friday while on his way to office.

Assistant Commisoner of police M C Mulani told reporters that Lisaria's kidnappers have demanded a ransom of Rs 10 million for his release.

Lisaria supplies accessories to Bajaj Auto.

There are no clues available about Lisaria's whereabouts or his abductors' identities, Mulani said.

Garware was abducted on December 5 along with his driver and held captive for five days. He was released near Lonavla after his family paid the ransom money.
