In another incident of violence against the Christian community, a bomb exploded at a church on Mysore Road here late on Sunday night.

The minor explosion, at the rear of the St Paul and Lourdes Church, on the outskirts of the city, occurred when people were returning after a feast.

Some windowpanes of the church were damaged in the explosion.

Confusion prevailed and stray incidents of stone-throwing were reported.

No one was injured.
