Farooq's Delhi visit delayed by a few days

E-Mail this report to a friend Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah has postponed by a few days his visit to Delhi to initiate a dialogue on the issue of autonomy.

"I may not be able to visit Delhi on July 15 in view of pressing engagements connected with the demise of Madr-e-Meharban (Begum Jehan) here", he told newspersons at a function in Srinagar.

Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee invited Abdullah to New Delhi for talks when he (Vajpayee) attended the burial of Begum Akbar Jehan, widow of Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah, on Tuesday last.
