Church blasts: Naidu offers huge reward

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu announced Friday a reward of Rs 5,00,000 for information on the culprits responsible for the bomb blasts in churches in Andhra Pradesh.

Naidu, who held a video-conference with district superintendents of police in the state, asked the police to deal sternly with elements seeking to disturb communal harmony.

He announced that special cells would be created in all the state's 23 districts to prevent the occurrence of violent incidents at churches and other places of worship. He said that a special cell would also be created at the state police headquarters headed by a deputy inspector general of police to monitor the situation.
