Rajasthan HC 'retires' 26 judicial officers

A decision to this effect was taken at the two-day full court meet held in Jaipur last week, high court sources said on Wednesday.

Altogether 17 officers belonging to the Rajasthan Higher Judicial Service, and functioning as DJs and Additional DJs at various places, were removed from service under the provisions of Rule 244 (2) of the Rajasthan Service Rules (Old) and 53(1) of the Rajasthan Civil Services Pension Rules - 1996.

They are Brij Lal Bundel, B D Gupta, Kusum Bhandari, Shyam Swaroop Sharma, B M Solera, Vinod Kumar Agrawal, Shyam Lal Gupta, J P Chhangani, S D Gupta, P C Jain, O P Sharma, Narayan Lal Verma, Brij Mohan Chouhan, Siddharth Kumar Jain, N P Upadhyay, Abdul Hafiz Khan and C P Nahar.

The rest were of the Rajasthan Judicial Service cadre and posted in various places as CJMS and ACJMS.

They are Shyam Lal Meena, Kishore Kumar Vijay, Sukh Ram Jatav, Tek Chand, Bajrang Singh Shekhawat, Karinda Ram Jatav, Ladu Ram Lotan, Prahlad Das Bairwa and K D Gaur.

There is a provision under which judicial officers, after attaining the age of 50 years or completing 25 years service, would be removed, if found 'not fit' to be in service after perusing their records.
