Another case against Sakshi Maharaj

Police has registered a fresh case of fraud against Samajwadi Party Member of Rajya Sabha Swami Sachchidanand Hari Sakshi on the basis of a complaint lodged by his disciple Durga Bharati on Thursday night.

The FIR was against Sakshi Maharaj, his nephews Padm Singh, Maharaj Singh and Shyam Singh.

Etah Senior Superintendent of Police R S Meena on Friday said Bharati had alleged that Sakshi Maharaj's men stole her revolver on July 31. He was lodged in jail in that connection.

However, to obtain bail in the case, Sakshi had fraudulently shown that the weapon belonged to his nephew.

Meanwhile, the special magistrate (dacoity-affected area) had extended Sakshi's judicial custody till October 25 next.
