Once Kullu was famous as the Eden of Himalayas.
Today death and drugs have bloodied this tranquil valley in Himachal Pradesh.
Murders and attacks on tourists have left a trail of fear. And with the harvest season of cannabis on, the evenings are thick with hashish smoke.
"For years foreign tourists had been moving freely around here, enjoying the unmatched peace and tranquillity," says Special Correspondent Josy Joseph.
"For those who wanted there has always been enough drugs," he adds. "Now there is an uninvited companion: death."
Joseph trekked through the valley meeting locals, authorities and tourists for this four-part series that traces the transformation of a peaceful valley into a valley of vice.
