Four members of a family beheaded in UP

E-Mail this report to a friend

In a gruesome incident, armed miscreants beheaded four members, including three advocates, of a family in Etawah in Uttar Pradesh, officials said on Sunday.

They said the miscreants entered the house of a prominent advocate Ranvir Singh Sengar in the Civil Lines area on Saturday night and beheaded Sengar, his wife Shashi Prabha (60) and his two advocate daughters Indu (40) and Veena (35) with sharp-edged weapons.

The miscreants also killed the dog in the house and snapped telephone lines before fleeing.

Senior civil and police officials, who rushed to the site, were unable to immediately establish the cause of the murder.
