Photographer Hemant Pithwa is dead

Hemant Pithwa, senior photographer with India Today magazine died on Monday night following a massive heart attack in a private hospital in north Bombay.

He was 41 and is survived by his wife and two daughters.

Pithwa was hospitalised for the last few days following a fracture in his leg. However, he suffered a major heart attack and passed away at around 1130 hours at Dr Telang's hospital in Andheri.

The last rites were performed on Tuesday afternoon.
