E-Mail this report to a friend

Our correspondent in Bombay

The Bombay-Baroda Sayaji Nagari Express was halted at Borivali station this afternoon after a bomb scare, and proceeded after a search proved it was a hoax.

An anonymous caller telephoned the railway authorities and warned them of a bomb on the train. The train, which had left Bandra Terminus, was immediately halted at Borivali station, platform number 6, at 1513hours.

The railway police's bomb squad, along with sniffer dogs, reached the spot and conducted an intense search for the bomb.
