According to its 'Regulations of Procedure', which were made public on Monday, 'the Commission may, in its discretion, utilise the services of any officers of any department or investigating agencies for conducting any investigation'.
The regulations, 34 in all, with some sub-regulations, were to streamline the procedure and working of the Commission, which was looking into the sensitive matter of corruption in defence deals, Commission sources said.
Earlier, the Commission had said that its proceedings will be 'mostly public' except when some sensitive defence matters came up.
"All hearings of the Commission shall be open to the public except when the Commission may think it fit to direct, either in public interest or for any other good reason, to hold the proceedings in camera or in private, in respect of particular person or persons, or any specific matter," the regulations said.
The Commission, already out with a public notice last week, will wait for public responses till May eight, they said.
Appointed to probe if persons in public office, individuals or any other organisation had made any illicit gains as alleged by news portal Tehelka.com and if so to what extent, the Commission had to complete its inquiry within four months.
