Views:I think that we have eunachs at the top of the beauracracy. I agree that friendly relations should be kept, but not at the expense of our guardians i.e. BSF. I am not a strong supporter of Israel, but I like the way they deal when own soldiers are harmed as it not only develops the moral of the soldiers but also keep the faith of our own people. I am really thinking that all those making noise at Parliament for Tehelka are not even good to be in India also, because not a single person has raised a voice for our soldiers & made the government to think. I strongly condemn the government action till now as I think that the government should have strongly reacted & killed atleast 700 of their man as this would have strong signals on all our neighbours that from now on we are not going to take it lightly. This same laid back attitude of the government has made the issues of Kashmir & militancy so heavy as seen that they have now spread their tentacles to UP. I strongly condemn the action being taken till now. What are they waiting for is what I do not undewrstand. Even if they go back, it will harm the moral of ours in a big way as it will give confidence to the neighbours that they can go in when it is required & get back after killing 20 of our brothers.

Views:This is an absolute hopeless situation for a country which has been now established itself as a soft state/target for any kind of terrorism. No matter if it is IC 814,never ending kashmir or kargil, on each occasion we have shown that we indians are not cabable to take these problems which should never have been allowed in the first place. These Bangla Deshis should be thrashed to death to avenge for our BSF deaths.Anything less would be an insult to our soldiers. I think it right time to take these disturbing issues as priority leaving politics on the back burner so that atleast some pride is restored as far as a common indian is concerened.

Views:Shocking & stupefying are the only two adjectives which come to mind on the misadventure by Bang' Rifles. Timid & Backboneless are the only two which best describe the Indian reaction. This only demonstrates that we have not changed much over the last 40 odd years. Nehru's handling of China then is what we are revisiting now. All the more baffling as one believed that this was a leadership with more spine. Tolerance & world opinion are good sweet talk but at the cost of national sovereignty? Amazing !! If the world rallies around the U.S when it rubbishes nations smaller than an average U.S city, what stops us from simply putting such hypocritical regimes in place ? I wonder.. Now this is not fascism, it's sheer enaction of justice. But justice, in India, never pretended punctuality, did it ?

Views:I think India should now pound the Bangladesh Rifles to stone age. It is high time India flexed its muscles with these boorish neighbours. Look at USA, it even launched cruise missiles at Afganistan after its embassy officials in an African country were killed by suspected militants from that place. That serves as a warning to keep off them for all these groups. I think it is high time India showed its might to all these misguided neighbours and show them that it is better to discuss issues at the table or risk being blasted off the planet!

A country which dreams of being a regional power(which we can never do in reality) and playing role in international politics has such a porous border and no resolve to protect citizens from even such a small force. When we can't protect our borders and our people better advani and vajpayee visit israil again . Many lessons are stored there for them or else thry should leave the seats for a stronger leader. And citizens better wake up. There indifference hase made our country a free for all. We are actually a bunch of cowards and slavery has crept into our genes. Views:To divert attention if one could intrude into our land kill our soldiers and create terror, it is the right time for our govt to give standing orders to gointo their territory, kill a few hundreds(SOLDIERS ONLY) & camp on their land. This could help our govt divert the attention of the media, public from the thehelka controversy. Once again our neighbour has proved a point that generosity can always be returned by gunfire. Its a shame that a pidloo, poor, down to rags country like bangladesh which does not have anythying but poverty & cyclones to deal with has the audacity to kill our people. Lets learn a lesson from the way the UNITED STATES fought for their comrades with china & brought them back as heroes inspite of the fact that they had purposely violated the rules

Views:This is an unprovoked, irresponsible, provocative and hostile action by the Bangladeshis. The government of Bangladesh needs to answer to Indian public for this. India must issue a stern warning to Bangladesh that such actions may bring highly undesirable consequences to Bangladesh and to India-Bangladesh relationship. The Govt. of India should demand a public apology and a statement owning full responsibility from the Govt of Bangladesh. Apart from the apology, the Bangladeshis need to restore status quo along the border and issue financial compensation to the families of the slain Indian jawans. India has every right to demand that the Govt of bangladesh should order a fair high level inquiry into the incident and court marshal their officers who did the wrong. If we cow down right now, it will send a very wrong signal towards about India's image to the International Community. We need to flex our muscles when it is needed. For heavens sake, imagine what the reaction of US would have been if Mexico ventured to do this to USA (killing 16 Texas rangers and taking a Texas village or two). I will consider the NDA govt spineless and a disgrace to India, if they dont act tough publicly (nobody cares what they do behind the scenes).

Views:I am very much upset by both agressiveness of Bangladesh and inactiveness of Indian BSF. Govt. is acting like a lazy and slow organization for such a serious matter where we have already lost 16 BSF personnel. For loosing one person, China is leaving no stone unturned against USA. These Bangladeshies are fools. They forgot that they would not got independence without active support and help of India. Today they are behaving like traitors. We should immediately take action and teach them a lesson for their foolishness and recapture our border area. Can I request the Govt. to stop giving press realess without any action. Can they wake up before it's too late to save our face. I can't imagine that a small country like Bangladesh is trying to threaten Indian teritorial integrity. Within 12 hours time India should completely solve this issue. How dare these Bangladeshies try to look at our eyes ?

Views:The story of Bangladeshi intrusion and our idifference to it is not anything new... only such a military onslaught is unprecedented and raises our doubt on whether India is actually perceived as much a "Power" as we like to believe it to be. We may not have been actually wimpish (who knows?), but the perception that has been created in our mind so far is that of lathergic decision-making and inaction by the authorities (Is it bureaucracy? or a marginal living without a mission or without any residual patriotic sentiments of authorities?). Right now, there is no point to be reactive with a tit-for-tat intention, but to react diplomatically or militarily, with the intention of sending a very strong signal across the border to restore long-term territorial integrity, even if that means using force.

Views:"Friend" you say? There are no "friends" in international relations . We are we still in the pathetic wimpish Nehruvian mould of desperatly wanting to be liked by all and sundry. Bangladesh (and whoever else it may be) needs only one response a swift kick up their butt. The response should be premised on the principle that evey indian life is precious and should be totally disproportionate to the provocation and must cause tremendous damage to them. Once this message gets home there will be a reluctance to start such shenannigans in future. If there are bleaters that Bangladesh is strong then they can go to blazes. The weak must not provoke the strong and Bangladesh's interests whatever they be are secondary to India's. There is precedent for this for did not the US invade Grenada?

Views:We should not tolerate this kind of adventurism by a neighbouring country especially Bengladesh whom we helped a lot on all their hour of need. We should immediately take all kind of corrective action to avoid such kind of activities in future. Jai Hind.

Views:BANGLADESH ATTACKS INDIA !!! Overruns a village,18 Indians killed.6 taken as POW . How would we have felt had this been the headlines in our newspapers? The press might have handled the situation mildly but the truth is that the facts mentioned above are the same. First it was Pakistan who has triied for the decade and half bled the Kashmir Valley, killing Kashmiri Brahmins and making a mockery of the Indian Army.Well we have seemingly come to terms with the fact that that self-defence seems to be the only way out of this militantcy, but Lo!!!!Behold!!! We have yet another Aggressor: THE TINY MINY BANGLADESH!!!! A country which would not last even half an hour in case of a fuul scale war with India, has somehow understood that the Indian Army no matter how strong it may be will not strike back. Such a daring decision....? There is no doubt that slowly and steadily India is developing an image of an enuch. No matter how many bombs you make, if you do not have guts to use them ,why did you make them for??? For display in Republic Day Parade?? What a shame that we have to see the images of Blindfolded and bleeding Jawans of BSF taken hostage by a country like Bangladesh!!! Now what are we waiting for??? No We wont react we are Monkeys of Mahatma Gandhi- we have nothing to do with evil. Tolerance is acceptable, but to a limit and this has gone too far.A country with power of an ant has dared to storm into our territory and what do we is to politely call that countrie's Ambassador-dont use the word Summon-Bangladeshi leadership might get annoyed..OH SO PATHETIC!!!!! I cannot express the feeling of Shame ive felt by this incident.

Views:Whatever problem we are going through is totally our internal (political, economincal etc). We should not take the aggression by Bangladesh lightly and teach them a lesson such a way that they think atleast 100 times to repeat such a crime in future. We don't need such stupid friend who encash the friendship according to their convenience.

I am not really kicked up about our government's reaction. There is this characteristic pussy-footing the whole issue
