Nine-member Lok Dal extends support
to Rajnath Singh government

The nine-member Lok Dal has extended its support to the Rajnath Singh government in Uttar Pradesh, state unit president of the party, Kailash Nath Singh Yadav, told reporters in Lucknow on Saturday.

"We have spoken to our legislators and there is no difference of opinion in the party over the issue of extending support to the government," Yadav said.

He said that a meeting of the party's legislature group would be held soon for a formal ratification of the decision.

Yadav said his party would fill the gap created by the withdrawal of support by the Loktantrik Congress Party to the government.
