Samata sees no problems in seat adjustment in UP

Samata Party on Friday said it does not see any problems on the issue of seat adjustment among the coalition partners of Uttar Pradesh government for the coming assembly elections.

"Preliminary talks have already begun with the BJP state leadership and there appears no problem among the coalition partners," party state unit chief Ram Asrey Verma told reporters.

Though the party had identified 105 seats where it was in a position to fare well, it would also stake claim to the seats where the BJP has been losing in the last three successive polls, Verma said.

The Samata Party contested in 10 constituencies in the last assembly election, but won only two seats. One of its MLAs later joined Kalyan Singh's Rashtriya Kranti Party.
