EVMs will be used in the polls in the state and photo identity cards or proof of identity would be required for exercising one's franchise, Secretary, EC, C R Bramum told newspersons.
With the use of EVMs, the results of the elections would be out within three hours and booth capturing could also be checked, he said.
Polling staff would be adequately trained on the use and functioning of the machine, he added.
