4 Pak soldiers killed, bunkers and watchtowers damaged

At least four Pakistani troops were on Monday killed and seven of their bunkers and watchtowers damaged in retaliatory firing by Indian army personnel in the Pallanwala sector of Akhnoor in Jammu and Kashmir, defence sources in Srinagar said.

Pakistani soldiers, using 81mm mortars, began targeting Indian installations, including telecom equipment, at 0345 hours (IST).

The Indian troops hit back using 82mm mortars killing four Pak soldiers and damaging seven bunkers and watchtowers.

The exchange of fire between the two sides lasted for five hours, the sources said.
