JD vice-president Jeevaraj Alva 'serious'

The condition of Janata Dal Vice-President and former Karnataka minister Jeevaraj Alva, who was admitted to private hospital for meningitis, was stated to be serious.

Hospital sources said on Monday that Dr Alva was put on a ventilator.

Dr Alva was admitted to hospital a few days ago.

His condition is being monitored by doctors, the sources added.
