15 AP pilgrims killed in collision

Fifteen pilgrims, including 14 women, were killed and 33 injured when the private bus in which they were travelling plunged into a river after colliding with a tempo on the Bombay-Agra highway near Sarmal village in Thane district on Thursday.

The bus, carrying 59 pilgrims from Andhra Pradesh, was on its way to Shirdi from Bombay, Thane district rural police said.

Some of the injured have been admitted to Shahapur rural hospital, the police added.
