As buildings are demolished, the scrap trade in Bhuj has seen a boom in business. Ishwar Goswami, a scrap dealer, says he employs 40 to 45 labourers who bring in material twice a day. He sends his maal out to Ahmedabad every alternate day. Profit has increased by 50 per cent since the quake. But the local administration has now become strict and business may become a wee bit sluggish.
