R K Gupta, a shop owner in Chandigarh, travelled for over 42 hours to reach Bhuj. All because he wanted to help. He hopped out of the bus and right in front was the make-shift hospital set up by the Indian Medical Association. Having run a pharmaceutical shop in Sirsa, Haryana, for many years, he was given the task of manning the reception and in his words: 'doing the other odd jobs.'
