Lightning kills nine in AP

Nine people, including four women, were killed when they were struck by lightning in Rangareddy, Medak and Mahabubnagar districts of Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday, the police said.

Five agricultural workers, one of them a woman, died at Mylavaram village in Rangareddy district, when working in the fields.

Three women died on the spot when struck by lightning in a field near Minarpalli village in Medak district.

Another person died at Narayanpet town in Mahabubnagar district after being struck by lightning, the police added.
