One Central Reserve Police Force jawan was killed and an indeterminate number injured when a sector security party was ambushed by a suspected combined group of the United Liberation Front of Asom and the United Peoples Democratic Solidarity at Basagaon under Bokajan police station of the Karbi Anglong district around 11.45 am, preliminary reports reaching Guwahati said.
Another ambush was reported at Deohari under the same police station almost simultaneously. Details are awaited.
