Six Deendar Anjuman activists arrested

Syed Amin Jafri in Hyderabad

Six activists of the outlawed Deendar Anjuman outfit were arrested in Hyderabad on Tuesday evening for violating the ban orders.

The Humayun Nagar police said despite the Deendar Anjuman premises being sealed following the ban, the accused were holding secret meetings and indulging in provocative actions, which could disturb the peace. They were organising the activities in the name of the banned outfit.

The arrested activists were general secretary Syed Basha (49), organising secretary Syed Salahuddin (60), joint organising secretary Fakir Moulvi Riyaz Ahmed Siddiqui (42), Ruhul Ameen (40), Rahman Baig (38) and Syed Zabiullah (34).
