Pak Rangers open fire at IB, LoC

Pakistani rangers opened fire on 42 border outposts along the International Border in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday night, injuring a Border Security Force jawan, official sources in Jammu said on Friday.

According to reports, the Line of Control in Jammu division also witnessed minor exchanges of fire between the BSF and Pakistan Rangers, but no casualty was reported from the Indian side.

Pakistani rangers using small arms targeted the border outposts at Hiranagar, Rajbagh, Samba, Ramgarh, Arnia, R S Pura and Kanachak along IB, the sources said adding the exchange of fire continued till Friday morning.

A jawan was injured at the Narainpur border outpost in Ramgarh sector, they added.
