IAF fighter jet crashes in UP

A Jaguar fighter jet of the Indian Air Force on Thursday crashed in the forests near Bilalkhera village in Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh, a police spokesman said in Lucknow.

The aircraft had taken off from Ambala and crashed around 1000 hours (IST), he said.

The pilot managed to escape with minor injuries.

There were no reports of any damage to life or property, he added.
