Thespian Dilip Kumar, who was admitted to Leelavati Hospital in Bombay on Wednesday night after he complained of uneasiness, 'is stable and absolutely fine', hospital sources said on Thursday.

"Though the actor has been kept in the ICU, his condition is absolutely stable and there was no cause of worry," the sources added.

He had been shooting in the nearby hill station of Lonavala when he complained of uneasiness and was rushed to the hospital after an initial check up at the naval hospital in Lonavala, family sources said.

The veteran Bollywood actor has developed an urinary infection and is being treated by Dr Nitin Gokhale, sources said.

Earlier in the day, Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh enquired about the health of the film thespian over telephone.
