The Gulshan Kumar murder trial on Tuesday resumed in a sessions court with the deposition of the last witness who harped on the statement of actor Chunkey Pandey.
Arjun Bagadi, the investigating officer, said the actor had confessed that he had met alleged conspirators Annes Ibrahim and Abu Salem in Dubai.
Prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam then drew the attention of the witness towards the actor's deposition in the court, wherein he had denied meeting with the alleged conspirators. He also confronted the witness with the actor's statement to police.
The investigating officer said the actor had indeed told him about the meeting with the alleged conspirators before the audio king was gunned down.
The witness said he could not give any reason why the actor had turned hostile before the court.
The witness also disclosed that he had recovered a pistol and car from accused-turned-approver Mohammed Ali alias Mohammed Chacha because they were used in the crime.
Besides, he had recorded statements of Mukesh Desai, the chief executive officer of T-series, Kishen Kumar, Gulshan's brother, and son Bhushan Kumar on the threats received by the audio king.
Gulshan Kumar was killed on August 12, 1997, outside a temple in Mumbai. Fifteen accused are facing the trial in which more than 45 witnesses have already been examined.
