The Khammam district police booked a case under Prevention of Terrorism Act against a photographer 'working' as a courier for the outlawed People's War.
This is the second time within a fortnight that a case has been registered under POTA relating to the PW.
The district police said photographer Mohammed Sultan was one of accused in the bomb attack on Yellandu police station on May 23, 1998.
Besides Sultan, eight other persons with alleged PW links were arrested by the police on Monday and booked under AP Public Security Act.
They were all said to be working as couriers and contacts for PW squads.
The police said Sultan met Sudhakar and Damodar, commanders of the PW local guerrilla squads of Gundala and Kothagudem respectively, three months ago.
He received Rs 10,000 from the PW for purchasing olive green uniform cloth. He got 12 uniforms stitched from a tailor in Yellandu and supplied these to the PW squads.
Subsequently, he placed another order for 60 pairs of olive green uniforms with five tailors and received Rs 40,000 from the PW for the purpose.
Others arrested include a registered medical practitioner, Bandi Narender Kumar.
