More transfers in Uttar Pradesh

The Uttar Pradesh government has transferred 13 additional superintendents of police, including five posted in capital Lucknow, even as the new district magistrate Rama Raman took charge late on Sunday night, official sources said.

Raman replaced Navneet Sehgal, who had been transferred along with eight additional district magistrates and the chief development officer of Lucknow on Sunday, they said.

Raman earlier held the post of special secretary in Women's Welfare Department.

Sehgal has been made member (judiciary) in the state revenue board, while Anil Sagar has been appointed the new CDO.
