Centre alerts West Bengal govt over possible terrorist attack

The Union home ministry has alerted the West Bengal government against a possible ISI-backed terrorist attack on Writers' Building, the state secretariat, between June 10 and 15, according to state Home Secretary A K Deb.

The state administration has taken all necessary precautions in and around the state secretariat, Deb said.

"There is no reason for the general public to panic as precautionary steps are being taken not only at the state secretariat, but also at other important places throughout the state," he said.
