Film producer Ashok Chain shot at

Two persons came to premises of the 42-year-old filmmaker to seek paying guest accommodation. Ashok informed them that three persons were already staying and there was no more room, the police said.

One of the persons then fired at Ashok, injuring him in the stomach, they said.

Ashok was taken to a hospital where he was reported to be out of danger.

A manhunt was launched to trace the duo, the police said.
