Thirteen killed in bomb explosion in Bengal

At least 13 people were killed when crude bombs exploded at Dakhalbati village in Birbhum district of West Bengal, the police said on Monday.

Seven died on the spot when the bombs being manufactured by them went off in a mud house on Sunday night.

The explosions caused the structure to collapse burying six others alive, Inspector General of Police (law and order) Chayan Mukherjee said.

The owner of the house was hospitalised with severe burns, he said, adding senior police officials have rushed to the spot.
