Shatrughan Sinha blames Bengal
government for children's death

Sharat Pradhan in Lucknow

Union Health Minister Shatrughan Sinha has blamed the West Bengal government for the death of 14 children for want of oxygen at the B C Roy Memorial Hospital in Kolkata on Monday.

Speaking to reporters in Lucknow, Sinha said: "I have been away from Delhi for the past two days and I am not aware of the details, but I can very well say that since the hospital is run by the West Bengal government, it has to be entirely their responsibility."

Sinha was in Lucknow to attend a conference on video piracy chaired by Indian Motion Pictures Producers Association chairperson Smita Thakeray.
