Rolling Stones to perform
in Mumbai, Bangalore

Rock band Rolling Stones will be performing in the country in April as part of their 40 Licks World Tour.

The group will perfUB Group chairman Vijay Mallya. Picture: Jewella C Mirandaorm in Bangalore on April 11 and in Mumbai on April 14, the event organiser, DNA Networks Private Limited managing director T Venkat Vardhan, told reporters in Mumbai on Tuesday.

The billion dollar band, which has out sold various other artists, including The Beatles, U2, Michael Jackson among others, will be the first one to come to the country with their entire theatrical effect.

The group kicked off their world tour in Boston, United States on September 3 last.

Speaking on the occasion, UB Group chairman Vijay Mallya said Mumbai has missed out several concerts, including Sir Elton John's, because of high entertainment tax adding Maharashtra Chief Minister Sushilkumar Shinde had in a recent meeting assured that he would look into the problem.
